Ste Fina (Fina de' Ciardi - San Gimignano 1238 - March 12, 1253) was mentioned patron saint of the town for some miracles which were ascribed to her and for her devotion shown during the period of her pain, caused by a serious sick. She was forced to a progressive paralysis on a wood table when she was ten until her young dead, happened 5 years later.

The town of San Gimignano take the name of St Gimignano, Bishop of Modena (who died in 387), who, according to the legend, saved the citizens of the little town from the onslaughts of the Barbarian hordes. On this dish is reproduced the image of the city at the end of XIV century, where St Gimignano hold the city on his lap.
